I'm currently a Product Owner and Product Designer at IMC Companies, the largest marine drayage provider in the U.S. I lead both mobile and web app development projects, and my work typically includes everything from backlog management and user research to UI mockups and cross-functional collaboration for product launches.
One thing I enjoy about this role is being hands-on across the product lifecycle. For example, I led the development of a Load Board feature for our web app, IMC Power. I worked closely with our Ordering Process (SWS) team and the development team to define requirements, improve carrier visibility, and streamline the claiming process. After the launch, I created training materials and video walkthroughs to support user training and day-to-day usage
I also took the lead on aligning our branding across our mobile and web apps by creating a shared brand guideline. That meant working with marketing to ensure we had consistent visuals, tone, and UI elements—which helped polish the user experience and bring unity across platforms.
One challenge I tackled recently was improving our mobile app, Power Direct, for night-time use. It was only available in Light Mode, which posed safety concerns for drivers using it in dark environments. I worked with the team to explore dark mode solutions and redesign UI elements for a safer, more comfortable user experience at night.
Before IMC, I was a front-end developer for the Memphis Grizzlies, where I focused on digital strategy and development, and I got my start through an internship where I built a local discount app for college students in partnership with the University of North Alabama’s business department.
Overall, I bring a strong mix of technical and design skills, and I really enjoy working across teams to build user-centered products that also meet business goals. I thrive in fast-paced, agile environments where I can help shape ideas and turn them into real, impactful solutions.
